“To ease another’s heartache is to forget one’s own.” – Abraham Lincoln

I was 21 years old on my first trip to Ukraine. It was a long way and hardly manageable alone. Therefore, I decided not to travel alone, but with a friend. Together with others we went to the country, which until then was completely foreign to us and would soon find a place in our hearts as the home of our new friends. On this trip I met Natalya. She comes from Ukraine and had done an aupair year in Germany. We talked all the way to Ukraine and although we had spent 23h together, saying goodbye to her was not easy. Over the years we kept in touch via facebook and other media and after a long time of organizing we were able to set up a joint project. I am very happy that Natalya Collect Hope is also helping to realize beautiful projects in Ukraine.

Many thanks again to all donors.
